The road to the state championships will start at Falcon Stadium for the FLC women. The Falcons learned on Tuesday that they earned the #4 seed in the Northern California Regional Playoffs and will host a first round game at 11:00 am on Saturday and a potential second round game (should they win Saturday) next Tuesday. Regional #13 seed Las Positas (11-4-3 overall), the fourth-place finisher in the Coast Conference South, will travel to Folsom for Saturday's 11:00 am match.
The Falcons enter the postseason with a 13-1-5 overall record after finishing third in the ultra-tough Big 8 Conference at 7-1-3. The Falcons have outscored their opponents 76-7 for the season, while Las Positas claims a 56-9 advantage over their opponents. The winner of Saturday's game will face either No. 5 Clovis Community College (13-4-2) or No. 12 West Valley College (9-9-2) in Round 2 on Tuesday, Nov. 23.
Ticket prices for the California Community College Athletic Association (CCCAA) postseason game are $12 for general admission and $8 for all identified students, faculty, staff, senior citizens age 60 and over, and children under 12 years old.
