The final event of the Friday home schedule was an intense battle between two of the Big 8 Conference's elite teams, and the Falcons came away with a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Delta College at a packed Falcon Stadium. The Mustangs entered the match with a sparkling 6-0 record while the Falcons were 3-0-1, so the expectations of a tight game were in place. The match lived up to the billing as both teams tackled, attacked, and rooted with intensity. In the 32nd minute, Folsom Lake's freshman scoring leader Sarah Freed took a perfect pass from sophomore Riley Spitzer and sent it past the Mustang goalkeeper for the game's only goal.
