Falcons Show Grit in Hard-Fought Match Against Beavers

Despite falling short in their recent clash with American River College, the Folsom Lake Falcons demonstrated resilience and flashes of brilliant play, providing promising glimpses for the season ahead. The Falcons fought hard in each set, showcasing their teamwork, defensive tenacity, and emerging offensive capabilities.

Folsom Lake's attack was anchored by standout performances from Kimora McKechnie and Jenae Moore. McKechnie showed her skill at the net with 12 kills, hitting a strong .333, and her effective strikes were supported by Moore, who also registered 12 kills on an impressive .375 hitting percentage. Together, the duo provided steady offensive pressure, keeping the Beavers on guard throughout the match.

Erin Ayers added an important 10 kills, proving to be another valuable asset for the Falcons, while her two aces showcased her versatility on the serve. Defensively, the Falcons displayed impressive grit, racking up 108 digs as a team. Key contributors included Ayers with 17 digs and Kira Comfort, who tallied 23 digs, working hard to keep plays alive and giving the team chances to extend rallies.

In blocks, the Falcons showed notable strength, with Viktoriia Boldyreva and McKechnie each contributing five blocks. This formidable frontline put pressure on the Beavers, disrupting their rhythm and showcasing the Falcons' defensive prowess.
