The Falcons wrapped up their regular season with a 5-set heart-stopper at Santa Rosa on Tuesday night, winning 25-22, 25-15, 20-25, 23-25, 15-10. With the win, the Falcons claimed a share of third place in the final 2019 Big 8 standings. Sophomore Caitlin Dillon was a big reason for the win, recording a season-high 28 kills and 25 digs. Julin Kenison and Kaitlin Bullock also had double-digit kills with 12 and 11, respectively, while Kenison added a team-high 27 digs. Yasmine Sowell-Scott tallied 6 blocks to go with her 7 kills, and Saki Yamamoto served 5 aces.
The Falcons finished at 12-4 in Big 8 play, just 2 games behind co-champions American River and Sierra (14-2). They will host a first round playoff match on Tuesday night (Nov 26) at 7:00 pm; their opponent will not be learned until late on Thursday.
