On Saturday, the Falcons hosted a three-team tournament that included Hartnell and Butte Colleges in a round-robin format. In the opener against Hartnell, the Falcons lost a close five-set match to the 11th ranked Panthers, 25-23, 18-25, 22-25, 25-22, 8-15. With Falcon setter Kennedy Crawford out with a quad strain, the Falcons struggled to find their rhythm. Still, the opportunity for victory was there. Hartnell sophomore Sam Shaffer was a difference-maker for the Panthers as she continually found ways to score points.
