Falcon women lose tough battle with Modesto

The Falcon women faced a tough challenge going against Modesto, the #2 ranked team in northern California.  The Pirates came away with a decisive 8-1 victory that was much closer than the score, as most of the matches were within a few points of going either way.  The three doubles matches all went to Modesto by the closest of margins (9-7, 8-6, and 8-4). In singles, the Falcons earned their lone win from #4 Laura Parkyn in a 3-set battle.  Abriana Rowe lost a heartbreaking 3-set match at #2, and #1 Anjelica Frank made Modesto's #1 work for every point in their close match.  The Falcon women will also play at Mission College in Santa Clara next Tuesday.
