Women's Tennis remains unbeaten with win over Sierra
Despite having to play a "home" match indoors at Gold River Racquet Club, the Falcons extended their undefeated streak to eight matches with an 8-1 win over Sierra College on Sunday night. A match that was originally scheduled for Friday afternoon but was finally pushed indoors thanks to el Niño was actually a lot closer than the final score indicated. Due to an illness, the Wolverines showed up with just five players, so the Falcons started with 2-0 lead before play began. Three singles matches went to a third set tie breaker while the two doubles were decided 8-4. Weather permitting, the Falcons will face their stiffest test of the season on Tuesday afternoon when they host Big 8 Conference defending champion Santa Rosa at 1:00 pm. The winner of that match will likely clinch at least a share of the Big 8 title.
