Freshman (2016): Big Eight All Conference, First Team…Went 9-7 overall and 6-1 in the Big Eight in singles playing #2 and ranked #16 in Northern California. Won Big Eight matches against Sierra, American River, Santa Rosa, and Diablo Valley. Played #2 in singles and #1 in doubles in the first round of the Northern California Team Playoffs against De Anza College. Went 12-3 overall and 5-3 in the Big Eight in doubles…Played entire season with Hannah Crookham at the #1 doubles where they were finalist in the Big Eight Conference Tournament and ranked #7 in Northern California. Qualified for the State Championships in Ojai CA in Singles (seeded 15^th) and Doubles (seeded 7^th).

At Bella Vista High School, Sophia (Sophie) played all four years Varsity Tennis playing # 12 her freshman year, and #6 her sophomore year earning “All Conference” honors. During her junior year Sophie played matches at # 3, 2, and 1 making the finals of the Division II SAC San Joaquin Doubles Championship. During her senior year, Sophie played #1 and this time took all the honors winning the Division II SAC San Joaquin Doubles title. Parents are Tim and Kelley Taber.
