Folsom Lake College secured a dramatic 2-1 victory over Sierra College in the 3C2A regional quarterfinals, punching their ticket to the semifinal match against Saddleback College on December 6th at 7 p.m.
The Falcons struck first with a stunning goal by Kamaya Yazzie just before halftime, giving Folsom Lake a crucial edge. Sierra equalized in the second half when forward Kyra DiBenedetto converted a key chance. However, with just over a minute left in regulation, Laila Hadid capitalized on a brilliant assist from Madi Stroh to score the game-winner for Folsom Lake.
