Solorio-Smith's three goals lead Falcons to victory

The Falcon women made it two shutout wins in two days with an 8-0 romp over Merced at Falcon Stadium on Tuesday afternoon.  The Falcons - who arrived home from Lemoore at 1:00 am on Tuesday following a 2+ hour delay on highway 99 - somehow found the energy to dominate the Blue Devils from start to finish.  Sophomore Mia Solorio-Smith scored three goals to lead the Falcons and record the team's first Hat Trick of the season.  Annette Medina and Alexia Chavez each tallied a goal and an assist, and Klaire Horton, Leila Chaudhry, and Teyha Guiden all found the net in the lopsided win.

The Falcons' team depth was evident as Coach Ribaudo found playing time for his entire roster without any dropoff in skill.  Freshman Reese Clark and sophomore Grace Filliau split the goalkeeping duties and rarely had to touch the ball.  The Falcons improved to 4-0-1 and will travel to Aptos on Friday to play Cabrillo (1-3-1) at 6:30 pm
