Falcons dominate Panthers, 7-0
The Falcons added to their winning record on Tuesday night with a dominating 7-0 victory over Sacramento City College at Falcon Stadium. The Falcons shared the ball and the goal-scoring opportunities, with seven different players accounting for the seven goals. FLC scoring leader Michaela Clark tallied her 7th goal of the season, Sarah Freed added her 6th, and Emma Thompson and Emily Doty each recorded their 5th goal. Michaela Mayer and Calista Scheidt rounded out the individual scoring for the Falcons. The defense meanwhile, was rock solid while preventing the Panthers from getting near the goal. Hunter Casperson and Sarah Valentine split the goalkeeping duties while recording the shutout.
The Falcons improved to 7-0-2 overall and remain tied with Delta College atop the Big 8 standings at 2-0-1. Friday's match at Modesto will have an early start time of 1:00 pm, then the Falcons will host Diablo Valley on Tuesday (Oct 1) at 6:00 pm.
