Falcons complete opening weekend sweep with win over Evergreen Valley

The FLC women made their opening weekend road trip a successful one as they notched a 6-1 victory in the heat on Sunday afternoon at Evergreen Valley to improve to 2-0.  In just the 5^th minute of play, the Hawks surprised the Falcons as they took a 1-0 lead on a free kick goal from 25 yards out.  But two goals by Andrea Martinez (her 4^th and 5^th of the young season) put the Falcons up 2-1 at halftime.  After Riley Spitzer and Keionna Claypoole scored back-to-back goals early in the second half, the Falcons were in control.  Sophomore Breanna Brumet added two late goals for the final 6-1 score.
