Women's Soccer Takes Down Delta

After a close first half that saw just one goal scored – a shifty maneuver by FLC freshman Keionna Claypoole in the 6th minute of play – the Falcons once again showed their superior talent and depth as they added four more goals in the second half to defeat San Joaquin Delta College, 5-1. Allie Miller, Hannah O'Donnell, and Karina Torres all scored in the first seven minutes of the second half to break open what had been a tight match. Goalkeeper Aubrey Hall was once again nearly unbeatable as she made several nice saves to thwart the Mustangs' attacks. DefendersMegan Trent and Natalie Fischer were instrumental in limiting Delta's two leading scorers to just one goal. The Falcons improved their Big 8 Conference record to 3-1-1 as they took sole possession of 2nd place and are now 8-1-1 overall. Their next match will be against 3rd place Modesto on Tuesday Oct 4 at 3:30 pm in Falcon Stadium.
