Lady Falcons Win Streak Now at Six

The FLC women's soccer team came out on fire in yesterday's 4-0 win over Yuba College, scoring three goals in the first ten minutes on the their first three shots of the game.  Brianna Buckle started the barrage with a 20-yard laser to the near post upper corner in the 4th minute.  Michelle Kimball followed that with her own 25-yard banger off a pass from Alexis WallaceJaqui Ortega soon followed with a beautiful volley, thanks to Kace Bailey's perfectly placed pass in front of the net.  Finally, Kimball netted another goal in the 29th minute on yet another nice assist from Wallace.  The second half saw no more scoring as the Falcons focused on playing great defense and found playing time for the entire bench.  Freshman Chaney Mata earned 'Player of the Game' honors for her "…outstanding 1-on-1 defense, dominance on aerial challenges, and ability to tackle with authority," according to coach Donny Ribaudo.  The win was the Falcons' sixth consecutive shutout and improved their record to 10-3 overall, 6-0 in Bay Valley Conference play.
