Women's Soccer Falls to San Francisco

Rain.  Halloween.   A city overrun with traffic hoping to see the Giants' World Series Victory Parade.  There were plenty of potential distractions for the FLC women's soccer team as they travelled to City College of San Francisco last Friday, but coach Donny Ribaudo refused to blame his team's 2-0 loss on any of them.  "We gave up an early goal (in the 11th minute) that we shouldn't have," noted Ribaudo.  "and that one goal completely changed the way the game was played.  CCSF stacked the middle against us and we couldn't overcome that."  The Falcons were hoping to avenge last year's playoff loss to the Rams (which happened to be by the same 2-0 score) but could not get the offense untracked.  The loss dropped their overall record to 14-4, although the team remains undefeated in BVC play at 9-0.  With just three conference games remaining in the regular season, the Falcons have a solid hold on first place and hope to host a first-round state playoff match.
