Head Coach Ali Mollet enters her seventh year at the helm of the Folsom Lake College women’s basketball program where she has turned a new program into a competitive force in the California Community College Athletic Association (3C2A).

Last year in the 2023-24 season, the FLC women’s basketball team achieved its best finish in program history, reaching the Elite 8 for the first time. The Falcons also finished 2nd in the highly competitive Big 8 Conference and ended the season ranked #6 in the state. Off the court, they were recognized as the academically #1 ranked JUCO women’s basketball program in the country for having the highest cumulative team GPA (3.54), further highlighting their commitment to both athletic and academic excellence.

The previous 2022-23 season was another record-breaking year for FLC women’s basketball as Coach Mollet’s vision took shape. The Falcons finished 23-7 and ranked #13 in the state and they reached the CCCAA State Sweet 16.

Coach Mollet’s first season at FLC in 2018-19 marked a significant turning point for the program. She and her staff guided the inaugural squad to a remarkable improvement, more than doubling the previous year’s win total and establishing a strong foundation for future success.

Before coming to FLC, she spent six seasons as the assistant women's basketball coach at Division II Chico State under Brian Fogel.  After joining Coach Fogel's staff in 2012, Mollet helped guide the Wildcats to a CCAA Conference championship title in 2013, two trips to the NCAA tournament, and a USA Today ranking as high as #9 in the nation.

Prior to her stint in Chico, Mollet served as Director of Women’s Basketball Operations at Sacramento State in 2010-11 and spent two seasons as an assistant at Sacramento City College from 2008-10.

Coach Mollet played her college ball at Sacramento State as part of the Hornets’ backcourt corps. She was a prep star at San Jose’s Del Mar High School, where she is still the school’s all-time assist leader, and a member of the Del Mar High School Athletic Hall of Fame.  She received her bachelor’s degree in Digital Media Communications from Sacramento State in 2008 and obtained her master’s degree in Kinesiology/Sport Performance from Sac State in 2010.
