Falcons Win with Triple-Digit Triumph Over Pirates

Folsom Lake's Offensive Showcase Dazzles Home Crowd

In an electrifying performance at the Falcons Gymnasium on December 28, Folsom Lake College dominated Modesto Junior College with a commanding 100-51 victory. The Falcons delivered a cohesive team effort, overwhelming the Pirates from the tip-off to the final buzzer.

From the outset, Folsom Lake's offense ran like a well-oiled machine, scoring 27 points in the first quarter and extending their lead with consistent scoring across all four periods. The Falcons showcased an impressive balance of speed, precision, and defensive pressure, stifling Modesto's attempts to find rhythm throughout the game.

By halftime, the Falcons had built a substantial 56-30 lead, leaving little doubt about their dominance. They maintained that momentum, outscoring Modesto in every quarter and delighting their home crowd with fast breaks, accurate shooting, and disciplined team defense.

While Modesto struggled to find consistent offense—shooting just 22% from the field—Folsom Lake capitalized on nearly every opportunity. The Pirates' standout, Siena Musson, contributed 19 points and connected on four three-pointers, but her efforts were insufficient against the relentless Falcons' attack.

The Falcons' bench also played a pivotal role, contributing energy and scoring depth to the team's overall performance. Although specific player statistics for Folsom Lake were unavailable, the collective effort and execution underscored why they're a team to watch this season.

Folsom Lake head coach praised the team's performance, stating, "This was the kind of game we needed to set the tone going into the new year. Our players executed the game plan perfectly, shared the ball well, and stayed disciplined on defense."

The victory keeps the Falcons on track for a promising season.

This game wasn't just a win—it was a statement.
