Falcons coast to 29-point win over CRC

With their offense hitting on all cylinders and their defense making life miserable for their opponents, the Folsom Lake women put together one of their most complete games of the season on Thursday night as they dismantled Cosumnes River, 79-50, at Falcon Gym.  The game was not as close as the final score would indicate, as the Falcons had twice the Hawks' point total (41-19 at halftime) until late in the 3rd quarter.  Freshman forward Delaney Keddie had arguably her best collegiate game, recording a double-double while leading the team with 24 points, 11 rebounds, 8 blocked shots, and 4 steals.  Sophomore guard Dejanet Porter dished out 6 assists while scoring 13 points.  Freshman guard Shaina Shah also had 13 points, while freshman forward Mo Peters added 11.

The Falcons were able to score both inside and out while playing unselfish ball, as proven by their 26 assists.  They repeatedly found the open cutter in the lane for easy layups, yet also drained five 3-pointers.  With the win, the Falcons improved to 11-7 overall and 2-2 in Big 8 Conference play.  They will travel to Modesto (10-5, 1-3) on Saturday for a 1:00 pm matinee.
