The Falcons hosted Bay Valley Conference leader Solano (21-1 in BVC) yesterday at Falcon Diamond for their final home games of the inaugural season. Solano demonstrated why they are the Bay Valley champions as they swept the doubleheader, 15-2 and 9-0, utilizing their superior hitting and team speed to dominate both games. Falcon sophomore Bree Martinez nearly hit her seventh home run of the season in the second game when she hit a wall ball high off the right field fence that she legged into a triple. The Falcons were without the services of usual starting pitcher Anna Ydiarte, who suffered a knee injury in Tuesday's game at Los Medanos. FLC will conclude their inaugural softball season on Tuesday with a doubleheader at Yuba.
