The Falcon women took on Los Rios sister college American River for an afternoon doubleheader in Carmichael but came away empty handed, losing 9-1 in the opener and 11-2 in the late game. In the first game, a tight pitcher's duel kept both teams scoreless until the third, when ARC scratched out two runs. Pitcher Anna Ydiarte kept the Falcons in the game, but her efforts were undone by some fielding errors that led to several more runs for the Beavers. In game two, the Beavers took an early lead that the Falcons would never recover from as they rallied for seven runs in the first inning. The Falcons have nine days to regroup and let some injuries heal before they take the field against College of the Redwoods on February 26.
