Folsom Lake Battles Hard in Tough Match Against Jessup
The Folsom Lake College men's tennis team faced a tough challenge on Tuesday, February 18, 2025, as they were swept 9-0 by Jessup University in a dominant display by the visiting team.
Doubles Matches
The match began with competitive doubles play, but Jessup emerged victorious in all three contests. The closest match came in the top doubles pairing, where FLC's Spencer Hamilton and Logan Donahue pushed Kyle Rutz and Diego Rodriguez to the limit before ultimately falling 9-8.
In the second doubles match, Caleb Ion and Lucas Borman managed to control much of the play against Clark Chen and Mike Marci, securing an 8-1 victory. Meanwhile, in the third doubles contest, Sean Han and Dan Han delivered a dominant 8-0 performance against Ian Ogan and Owen Cooper.
Singles Struggles
Despite their best efforts, FLC was unable to turn the tide in singles competition. Spencer Hamilton fought hard but fell 6-1, 6-2 to Diego Rodriguez. Caleb Ion and Logan Donahue mirrored that scoreline, each losing 6-1, 6-2 against their respective opponents, Mike Marci and Owen Cooper.
The struggles continued for FLC as Lucas Borman was outplayed by Ian Ogan, 6-1, 6-0. Dan Han was unable to register a game against AJ Rodriguez, falling 6-0, 6-0, while Drew Biggs suffered a 6-1, 6-1 defeat to Kyle Rutz.
