Falcons top Vikings for 1st Big 8 win
The FLC men won 8-1 and the women lost 7-2 against Diablo Valley in Big 8 Conference tennis action at the Lorimer-Bruns Tennis Complex on Friday. For the men, the victory was their first in Big 8 Conference play and improved their record to 1-2 while the women fell to 0-4 in Big 8 play. Jeremy Schubert, Caleb Ion, Drew Murphy, and Eric Greer all won in both single and doubles. For the women, Alora Gardiner and Winny Zhao lost a very close match at #2 doubles, 6-8. At #5 singles, Nicci Vaiarello lost in the 3rd set tie-breaker, 3-6, 6-3, 5-7.
