Bio

Justin Johnson enteres his sixth season as the Head Coach of Men’s Soccer for the Falcons. Justin is from the San Jose area and played at West Valley College and San Jose State.  Coach Johnson received both his Bachelors and Masters Degrees in Kinesiology from San Jose State.  Coach Johnson also holds an Advanced National Diploma from the National Soccer Coaching Association of America, as well as a C License from the United States Soccer Federation.

Coach Johnson brings  a wealth of successful coaching experience to Folsom Lake College. He has held coaching positions at numerous levels over the past 15 years, including 10 years at top club programs, 6 years coaching high school, and 9 years at the community college level. Prior to coming to Folsom in 2015, Justin was the Head Coach at Cabrillo College and Bellarmine Colleg Prep. Coach Johnson led Cabrillo to a Coast Conference title and Bellarmine Prep to a high school section title.  Prior to that he was the Head coach at Gavilan College.  During Justin’s first year as Head Coach the team had a dramatic turnaround from the previous season to finish the year 11-8-1.  In year two under Coach Johnson the program continued to gain momentum and the team went to the playoffs for the first time in school history earning Coach Johnson the 2012 Coach of the Year in the Coast Conference. 

Coach Johnson considers it a great honor and responsibility to be the head coach of the men's soccer program at FLC.  The environment within the Folsom Lake College Men's Soccer Program will be competitive, challenging, and exciting.  He looks forward to developing FLC student athletes into successful people in the classroom, on the athletic field, and in the community.
