Folsom – The Falcons defeated Hartnell College (3-1) on Saturday night in the first round of the 3C2A NorCal Regional.
Andy Collins scored the first goal of the game in the 17th minute to put the Falcons up 1-0. In the 23rd minute, Jaden DeFazio added to his team leading goal total (13) and put the Falcons up 2-0 and in the 34th minute, DiFazio added an insurance goal to put the Falcons up 3-0.
The Falcons will now hit the road to play the #3 seed, West Valley College. This will be the second time these two teams match up in the 2023 season. The first game ended in a 1-0 victory for the Vikings. This second round game is set to kick-off at West Valley College on Tuesday, November 21st at 2:00 pm. The winner of this game will play the winner of Santa Rosa Junior College and Cañada College in the NorCal Regional Championship on Saturday, November 3rd.
