Falcon men fall to Skyline

Despite playing on their home pitch in near-perfect weather, the FLC men's soccer team couldn't find their moxie on Tuesday afternoon as they lost to visiting Skyline, 3-1.  The Falcons struggled to penetrate a stout Skyline defense that pressured them into numerous miscues.  The Trojans capitalized on a free kick in the 30th minute with a perfectly-place curling shot that just eluded the reach of Falcon goalkeeper Connor Edwards.  The Trojans padded their lead with another goal ten minutes later while the Falcons grew more frustrated.  The second half didn't fare much better as the Falcons fell behind 3-0 with another Trojan goal in the 60th minute.  Desperate for a goal, the Falcons finally found the net in stoppage time when freshman forward Will Seargeant scored, assisted by Bruce Bibrieska.

The Falcons (2-3) clearly have work to do to prepare for their next opponent - traditional power Lake Tahoe (4-4) - on Friday afternoon at Falcon Stadium.
