The Falcon men got two first-half goals from freshman forward Ryan Branigan on their way to a 3-1 victory over Napa Valley on Friday afternoon. After Napa scored a second-half goal that made it 2-1, freshman Nagel Garcia added a goal in the 73rd minute to put the Falcons ahead 3-1 and cap off the scoring. Head coach Justin Johnson was pleased with the victory, but noted, "we're still a work in progress. Though we're not a finished product, I can say I've seen us improve consistently."
The Falcons will play at Clovis on Tuesday afternoon (4:00 pm), then will be off until they host Butte on Friday, September 9.
