Falcons, Mustangs play to scoreless draw

The Falcons faced off against the team (Delta College) with which they shared the 2018 Big 8 title on Friday afternoon in Stockton, and neither team was able to find the net as they battled to a 0-0 tie.  Both teams were reluctant to take many chances, instead opting to play a conservative brand of soccer while hoping for a mistake by the opposition.  The strategy nearly paid off for the Falcons, who were able to create some opportunities but had three shots hit the post.  FLC coach Justin Johnson had praise sophomore defender Andrew Ratto, who earned 'Man of the Match' recognition for his efforts. 

The Falcons' schedule does not get any easier, with a gauntlet of Big 8 teams boasting early season success awaiting.  They'll host Modesto (6-1-1, 0-1 in Big 8) on Tuesday afternoon, then play at American River (4-2-2, 1-0 in Big 8) on Friday.
