Men's Soccer Falls At West Hills

The Falcons continued their mid-season non-conference tour of the central valley with a Tuesday afternoon match at West Hills College (also the Falcons) in Lemoore.  Unfortunately, things started off badly for FLC as they were called for an early foul in the box and the resulting penalty kick by West Hills made it 1-0 just three minutes into the match.  FLC freshman Nick Potts tied the score ten minutes later on an assist from Miguel Medina, but there would be no more scoring in the first half.  Early in the second half, FLC would fall behind once again as the result of a penalty kick in the 54th minute of play.  To compound their problems, a red card (player ejection) put the visitors at a one man disadvantage for the rest of the match.  West Hills capitalized in the 75th minute, making the final score 3-1.  FLC (6-3-4) will hope to regroup for their home match on Friday against state #2 ranked Fresno City (10-0-4) at 6:00 pm.
