The Falcons notched their first-ever Big 8 Conference victory on Friday afternoon in Stockton as they defeated a tough Delta College squad, 1-0. After a scoreless first half, Falcon midfielder Luis Aguilar scored off a corner kick in the 60th minute of play for the only goal of the match. The Falcons' strong team defense stifled Delta's attack throughout the half and helped secure the victory. With the win, the Falcons improved to 1-1 in Big 8 Conference play and are in third place in early-season standings. They will host Big 8 leader Cosumnes River on Tuesday night at 6:00 pm at Falcon Stadium as part of a men's/women's soccer doubleheader.
