Men's Soccer Suffers First Loss

The FLC men's soccer team lost a close 3-2 match with Las Positas College (Livermore) Tuesday evening at Falcon Stadium.  The Falcons took an early lead in just the 2nd minute of play on a header by Miguel Medina off a corner kick.  That lead would last into the second half, until the Hawks managed three consecutive goals (one an own-goal off an FLC player's back) within a 15 minute span to go ahead 3-1.  The Falcons fought back and closed the gap to 3-2 on Medina's second goal of the evening in the 72nd minute.  Despite many close chances late in the game, there would be no more scoring as the match ended 3-2 in favor of Las Positas.  The Falcons' record now stands at 2-1-1 with two more home non-conference matches awaiting this week.
