Men's Soccer Drops a Nailbiter

The FLC men lost another close one Friday night, falling to Mendocino (3rd place in the BVC) 2-0.  Once again, the Falcons were plagued by their inability to convert scoring chances into goals.  The Falcons were every bit the equal to their opponent, matching the Eagles in time of possession and shots-on-goal, but could not find the net.  The Eagles scored a first-half goal in the 21st minute to take a 1-0 lead into halftime.  That score remained until just five minutes were left in the match, when Mendocino scored on a beautiful header off a corner kick that put the game away.  The Falcons now find themselves tied for fifth in the BVC at 1-5-1 (3-12-1 overall).  The Falcons travel to Merritt College on Tuesday afternoon looking for their second win against the Thunderbirds.
