Men's Soccer Falls 1-0 to Contra Costa

The Falcon men, playing at Contra Costa on Tuesday evening, continued to exhibit their defense prowess as they again dominated time of possession.  The Comet's only goal of the game occurred in the 60th minute when Falcon defender Logan Guler passed to goalkeeper Patrick McDade, but the spinning ball eluded McDade culminating in an "own goal".  The Falcons pressed on, peppering the Comet goalie and controlling the action, but could not penetrate the net.  "Once again, we played really well," noted head coach Justin Johnson, "but we just didn't finish.  The own goal was unfortunate, but that happens…it's soccer."  The Falcons return to action at Falcon Stadium on Friday evening as they begin the second half of Bay Valley Conference play against Mendocino at 6:30 pm.
