Bay Valley Conference leader Yuba College showed why the 49ers are in first place with a 3-0 victory over the Folsom Lake men yesterday in Marysville. The Falcons gave up an early goal, then tightened up their defense for the remainder of the first half to trail at the break, 1-0. However, the 49ers came out with two quick goals in the first five minutes of the second half to effectively put the game away. The loss drops the Falcons to 1-3 in BVC play and 3-10 overall. They'll host Napa Valley, currently in third place in the BVC with a 2-1-1 record, this Friday at Falcon Stadium at 4:00 pm.
