Men's Soccer Drop Close One

Playing at Lassen College in Susanville, the Falcons battled poor field conditions, a howling wind, and a physical Cougar team that prevented any type of rhythm or flow to the Falcon offense.  Lassen scored the only goal of the game midway through the first half, then relied on their physical defense to control the game the rest of the way.  "Just not a good day in any way," commented coach Justin Johnson, referring to the four-hour bus ride, field conditions, and the wind.  "We just never got into our game."  Goalkeeper Patrick McDade and forward Christian Cardoza were both praised for having outstanding games.  Johnson also noted that the team is very ready to begin Bay Valley Conference play next Tuesday, when they travel to Ukiah to take on Mendocino College.
