Men's Soccer Suffers Tough Loss at Modesto

The FLC men were on the road to take on Modesto yesterday.  In what is starting to sound like a broken record, the Falcons seemed to control the tempo and dominate possession time throughout the game but could not put the ball in the net.  "We just can't seem to finish.  We pass well, we move the ball, but we haven't been able to score," commented coach Martin Roberts.

The Falcons were victimized by a couple of extremely fast Modesto players who managed to get behind FLC's defenders on long passes over the top.  Down 3-0 at half, adjustments were made to the defensive formation that helped keep the Pirates in check through the second half.  Still, the Falcons could not score against Modesto.  "We'll keep working on it," said Coach Roberts.  "I expect to break out against Ohlone on Friday."

Upcoming: Friday 9/12 at Ohlone (Fremont) at 4:00pm.
