Falcons Struggle Against Hawks, Fall 79-63 at Home

The Folsom Lake College Falcons faced a tough challenge on Friday night, falling 79-63 to the visiting Cosumnes River College Hawks. Despite a valiant effort, the Falcons were unable to overcome an early deficit as the Hawks controlled the game from start to finish.

The first half proved to be a difficult stretch for the Falcons, as they fell behind 40-28 heading into the break. Cosumnes River's sharp shooting and aggressive play put Folsom Lake on the back foot early, forcing them to play from behind the entire night.

Logan Rexford led the Falcons with 14 points, adding four assists and four rebounds in a solid all-around performance. Micah Hobson contributed 16 points and four rebounds, while Miko Bear knocked down three three-pointers on his way to 15 points. Miles Lake also added 12 points and five assists, but Folsom Lake struggled with efficiency, shooting just 35.6% from the field and 31.0% from beyond the arc.

Defensively, the Falcons had trouble containing Cosumnes River's offensive attack, particularly in transition. The Hawks capitalized on key turnovers and second-chance opportunities, keeping Folsom Lake from mounting any significant comeback in the second half.

Despite the loss, the Falcons remain focused as they look to bounce back in their next matchup. With the season winding down, Folsom Lake hopes to finish strong and build momentum for the future.
