Falcons Lose a Tough One in Overtime

Folsom, CA – At the halfway point in the conference season, the Falcons (5-15, 1-7 Big-8) were desperate for a win, but it wasn't meant to be as they suffered their seventh conference loss to Sierra College (10-10, 4-4 Big-8) 77-74.

The Falcons had good offensive production with 4-of-5 starters scoring in double digits and a team shooting percentage of 44.3 from the field, including 40.9% from the 3-point line.  Defensively, the Falcons were able to hold the Wolverines to 29 points in the second half and found themselves up by two (2) points with seconds left in the game. The Wolverines, however, were able to hit a buzzer-beating shot to send the game into overtime. In overtime, the Wolverines outscored the Falcons 14-11.

The Falcons' next game is Friday, January 20^th at Santa Rosa (9-11, 6-2 Big-8). Tip-off time is set for 7:30 pm.

The Falcons' next home game is Tuesday, January 24^th against Delta College (8-11, 4-3 Big-8) at 7:30 pm.
