With third-place in the Saltwater Classic Tournament on the line, the Falcons faced Merced on Sunday evening with a roster full of tired legs and banged-up bodies. The Blue Devils were also feeling the cumulative effects of the weekend as both teams struggled to score early on, resulting in a 28-21 Falcon lead at halftime. The Falcons took control in the second half and built a 19-point lead, but let the Blue Devils back into the game when they relaxed just a little too much. Fortunately, the Falcons were able to knock down their free throws when it mattered down the stretch and held on for the 5-point win, 69-64.
