Men’s basketball goes overtime in 1-point loss

On Saturday night, the Falcons were flat to start against West Hills Coalinga, but gradually battled back to within three at the half, 39-36.  The Falcons got things going well in the second half as they built an 8-point lead, but poor free throw shooting (12 of 24, 50%) allowed West Hills to make a comeback and send the game to overtime.  With just seconds remaining, West Hills hit one of two free throws for a one point lead before the Falcons' final desperation three pointer fell short for an 87-86 loss.  Sophomore Zethan Dumpson  led the Falcons with 14 points, while Will Fitzpatrick and Grant Bellis added 13 apiece.

Next up, the Falcons will host College of Marin at Falcon Gym on Tuesday night at 6:00 pm, then travel to Modesto for the 81st Modesto JC Tournament starting Thursday.
