Falcons earn first Big 8 win with victory over Panthers
The FLC men's basketball team notched their first Big 8 Conference victory on Saturday night when they used a second-half surge to defeat Sacramento City, 92-87, at Falcon Gym. The Falcons trailed the Panthers by seven at halftime, then went on a 2nd-half scoring binge while stepping up the defensive intensity to overcome the visitors. Zethan Dumpson continued his monstrous season as he scored 32 points and grabbed 12 rebounds. Isiah Maun chipped in with 24 points, 7 rebounds, and 9 assists, and Justice Seabron continued to sparkle from behind the 3-point arc, connecting on 5 of 7 treys for 21 points. Seabron is now 9-for-14 (64%) from three point range in the last two games. The Falcons (1-6 in Big 8, 2-14 overall) will host Modesto on Tuesday night at 7:30 to complete the first half of their Big 8 schedule.
