Falcons suffer narrow loss to Beavers
The Falcon men had a great chance for their first Big 8 Conference win on Tuesday night before a late rally carried the visiting American River Beavers to victory, 81-75. The two teams were never separated by more than five points throughout the game, with the Falcons holding a narrow 2-point lead at the half, 37-35. The Beavers eventually grabbed the lead for good in the final two minutes of play, then won the game with tough defense. FLC freshman Zethan Dumpson led all players in scoring with 29 points, while Darryl Heidelberg added 12. The Falcons (0-3 in Big 8, 1-11 overall) will play at Cosumnes River (1-1, 5-7 overall) on Tuesday night at 7:30 pm
