Men’s basketball team falls to Mendocino in debut

The inaugural game for the Folsom Lake College men's basketball team did not go as hoped for on Tuesday night, as the Mendocino Eagles shot the lights out at Falcon Gym on their way to a convincing 99-77 win.  The Eagles literally could not miss in the first half, as they built a 61-26 halftime lead.  Meanwhile, the Falcons couldn't buy a basket.  The Falcons' offense awoke in the second half, but the 35-point deficit – thanks in part to the Eagles' 20 three-pointers - was too much to overcome.  Zethan Dumpson and Noah Hernandez led the Falcons in scoring with 18 points apiece, while Isiah Maun added 16.  With the first-game nerves behind them, the Falcons hope to bounce back this weekend when they play three games in the Chabot Tournament, facing Feather River on Friday, Chabot on Saturday, and Alameda on Sunday.
