Falcons Sweep American River in Offensive Showcase

The Folsom Lake College Falcons delivered a powerful statement this week, sweeping American River College in a three-game series that featured explosive offense, timely pitching, and complete team dominance. Outscoring the Beavers 54–21 across the series, the Falcons showed exactly why they're a force to be reckoned with down the stretch.

The action kicked off on April 8 at Falcon Field, where Folsom Lake unleashed a relentless offensive assault in a 21–4 victory. After falling behind 2–0 early, the Falcons responded with a staggering 19 unanswered runs between the third and sixth innings. Asa Martinez paced the lineup with a 3-for-4 day, driving in five runs and hammering two doubles. Michael Ryan and Julian Clevelle each added three RBIs, while the team combined for 17 hits and 20 RBIs. Five pitchers shared the workload on the mound, with Axel Holtz closing the game and the staff limiting American River to just three earned runs.

In Game 2 on April 10, Folsom Lake showed resilience on the road, outlasting the Beavers 12–10 in a back-and-forth slugfest. Down 4–1 in the early going, the Falcons rallied with three runs in the third and four in the fourth, including a clutch bases-clearing double by Connor Barth. Ryan remained red-hot with three hits and three RBIs, while Clevelle drove in two more runs. After American River tied the game at 10–10 in the sixth, Folsom Lake answered immediately with two go-ahead runs in the seventh. Noah Madsen earned the win with four innings of relief, allowing just two unearned runs to seal the deal.

The sweep was completed in Game 3, where the Falcons closed out the series with a 10–4 rout. Once again, the offense exploded—highlighted by a nine-run second inning and six more in the fourth. Asa Martinez added another three RBIs, giving him 10 for the series. The Falcons tallied 16 hits and capitalized on eight walks and four hit batters. On the hill, Dylan Warren earned the win, tossing five strong innings with four strikeouts while the bullpen held things down in the late frames.

With the sweep, Folsom Lake improves to 23–11 overall and 11–7 in conference play. More importantly, the Falcons are clicking at the right time, showing both the firepower and depth needed for a postseason run.
