Folsom Lake College Baseball Sweeps Modesto
Folsom Lake College baseball secured a three-game series sweep over Modesto Junior College, capping off a dominant stretch with strong pitching performances and timely hitting.
Game 2: Folsom Lake 4, Modesto 1 (March 13, 2025)
Folsom Lake traveled to Modesto and came away with a well-earned 4-1 victory. The Falcons' offense was led by Connor Barth, who went 3-for-4 with a double, an RBI, and two runs scored. Quincy Malbrough and Asa Martinez also contributed multi-hit games.
Starting pitcher Keisen Hayden was outstanding, going seven innings while allowing just one run on four hits and striking out 12. Ryder Slatten and Jarren Ekkelboom closed the door with two scoreless innings to secure the win.
Game 3: Folsom Lake 12, Modesto 2 (March 15, 2025)
Back on their home field, the Falcons dominated Modesto in a 12-2 rout. Folsom Lake exploded for five runs in the seventh inning, highlighted by Asa Martinez's two-run home run. Micah Kendrick added three RBIs, while Julian Clevelle contributed a double and an RBI.
On the mound, Noah Kenney was excellent, pitching six shutout innings with six strikeouts and allowing just two hits. The bullpen kept Modesto at bay, with Slatten, Nick Haas, and Axel Holtz combining to finish the game.
The offense remained hot, and the pitching staff once again delivered, holding Modesto's lineup in check.
With this three-game sweep, Folsom Lake improved their conference record, solidifying their standing as a contender in the league. The Falcons will look to carry their momentum into their next matchup.
