Falcons Kick Off Final Big 8 Conference Series with Strong Performance

Folsom - Folsom Lake College Baseball started its final Big 8 Conference series on a high note against the Diablo Valley College Vikings on Tuesday afternoon. The Falcons dominated the game from the outset, securing a 15-3 victory and showcasing their impressive skills on both sides of the ball.

Offensive Strength

The Falcons' offense proved unstoppable, racking up 20 hits and 15 runs. Quincy Malbrough led the charge with three hits, including a home run, and three runs scored. Michael Ryan contributed four hits and two RBIs, while Brady White delivered three RBIs on two hits. Max Debiec and Kobe Rolling each added multiple RBIs, and Adam Reyes hit a solo home run.

Pitching Excellence

Folsom Lake's pitching staff held Diablo Valley's batters in check throughout the game. Ryan Edwards started on the mound and pitched 2.1 innings, allowing three runs (two earned) on three hits while striking out one. Carter Henninger provided strong relief, throwing 4.2 hitless innings and striking out four batters. Nate Brouse and Debiec completed the game with scoreless innings.

Game Summary

Folsom Lake took an early lead in the first inning with RBIs from Debiec and Austin Menesini. The Falcons extended their lead with home runs from Reyes and Malbrough in the second inning. Diablo Valley responded in the third inning with three runs, but the Falcons continued to add to their lead in subsequent innings.

The Falcons sealed their victory in the seventh inning with five more runs, including RBIs from White, Rolling, and Braeden Frank. The Vikings struggled to keep up with Folsom Lake's relentless offense and strong pitching.
