Falcons Dominate Mendocino College Eagles in Double-Header Opener

Folsom - The Folsom Lake College Falcons soared to an impressive 12-2 victory over the Mendocino College Eagles in a non-conference home game that marked the first of a double-header clash between the two teams.

From the first pitch, it was clear that the Falcons meant business. Folsom Lake's bats came alive in a dominating offensive display, posting eight runs in the opening inning and setting the tone for the remainder of the game. Mendocino College, on the other hand, struggled to contain the Falcons' relentless attack.

Michael Ryan, the standout first baseman for Folsom Lake, led the offensive charge, belting a home run and contributing four hits to the team's impressive total of 15 hits. The Falcons showcased their depth with multiple players making significant contributions, including Logan Pruski, Max Debiec, and Austin Ford, each driving in crucial runs.

On the mound, pitcher Ryan Oakes delivered a stellar performance for the Falcons, allowing only two hits and one run in five innings. Oakes displayed control and poise, striking out seven Mendocino College batters while walking only one.

The game was called after seven innings due to the mercy rule, as the Falcons secured a decisive 12-2 victory, establishing early dominance in the double-header. Folsom Lake's pitching and hitting showcased their prowess, leaving the Eagles with a formidable task in the second game of the day.
