Falcons pound out 10 runs in series-opening win over Sac City

A different week, a different opponent, but the same result: the Folsom Lake baseball team applied the season-long successful formula of solid starting pitching and timely hitting to defeat Sacramento City on Tuesday afternoon at FLC, 10-4, in the opener of the season's final series.  Starter Carter Delaney kept the Panthers in check, allowing just two runs on six hits in his seven innings to earn his seventh win of the season.  Offensively, it was another 'hero by committee' approach as five Falcons recorded at least two hits and three players had two or more RBI's.  Jared Breedwell and Drake Digiorno each hit a two-run homer, and Bryce Petrila hit a two-run double as the relentless Falcon attack continued to pummel opponents' pitchers.

The win was the Falcons' seventh straight and improved their overall record to 29-6-1 and 17-4 in Big 8 play, and they are ranked #6 in California in the most recent CCCSIA poll.
