Falcons lose at Sierra in front of empty stands

The Folsom Lake and Sierra College baseball teams met on Tuesday afternoon at Sierra College, but there were no fans in attendance to see the Wolverines down the Falcons, 6-3.  With Sierra College classes on hiatus due to health concerns, no spectators were allowed to attend the game.  Falcon starter Gabe Emmett was once again the victim of bad luck; he got the loss despite six solid innings with no earned runs allowed.  Two fielding errors behind him in the first and third innings allowed four Wolverine runs to score (unearned), which proved to be the difference in the game.  Designated hitter James Powers drove in all three FLC runs with a bases-loaded double in the second inning, but that was the extent of the scoring for the Falcons.  The falcons fall to 2-5 in Big 8 play while the Wolverines improved to 2-2.  The teams will meet again on Thursday afternoon at FLC, then wrap up their 3-game set on Friday at Sierra.
