Mustangs take three straight from Falcons
A Wednesday night showdown between state #8 Delta College and #10 Folsom Lake didn't quite live up to the hype as the Mustangs swept three sets from the Falcons, 25-23, 25-16, 25-20 at Falcon Gym. The taller Mustangs controlled the net, repeatedly hitting over or through the Falcons' blocks. The Falcons also suffered from an uncharacteristic rash of service errors which could have easily turned the opening set loss into a win. With the loss, the Falcons are now 8-3 overall and 2-2 in Big 8 play. They will hope to regroup for Friday night's match at Cosumnes River (8-8 overall, 0-4 in Big 8) before taking on the #1 ranked team in California, Feather River (20-0) , on Saturday at the Cabrillo Tournament.
