Women's tennis opens season with a shutout

The FLC women's tennis team opened their season with a 9-0 shutout of Cabrillo College on Friday afternoon at  the FLC Tennis Complex.  Sophomores Arielle Frank and Michelle Doyle were double winners as they won their singles matches, then teamed up to win 8-0 in doubles.  Freshman Laura Parkyn earned a hard-fought comeback win, 7-5, 6-2 after falling behind 2-5 in the first set.  Freshmen Abriana Rowe and Erin Cline played well in their collegiate debut as they easily handled Cabrillo's #1 doubles team in their 8-2 win.
